Our class does not consist of students all from the same level as our teachers do not teach the class as a whole.

1-1 specialised attention will be provided to each and every student in order to cater to their learning needs and style. The traditional classroom setting that you are referring to is the one that all students are doing in school. This teaching style might be suitable for all students as some are not able to catch up with the teacher’s speed while some might feel that the teacher is moving too slowly. With our unique teaching method, we are able to move according to each and every student’s speed and learning requirements whilst conducting the class in a group setting.

Q3.

When does the term start at InstanTuition? If my child starts in December, will the lessons repeat in January when other students join in?

Due to our unique teaching style, we do not have a specific term period. Lessons taught will not be repeated, only if students take a long break and forget about the content learnt previously. As our class is conducted with 1-1 specialised attention, each and every student's learning content will be different. If your child starts in December, we will be able to stay ahead of the rest who enrol at a later date, which means he/she will have more revision time that is essential for exam prep. Provided he/she retains the concepts taught as we progress.

Q6.

how does InstanTuition's unique teaching method work in a group setting? <continued from Q5>

In order for our unique teaching method to work, we would always begin our conversation by understanding your child's results and how he/she is doing in school.

Based on the information provided, we would then allocate your child to a time slot best suited for their learning.

This might be a different method of teaching from what everyone is familiar with. However, why students chose to join us is because the traditional classroom setting does not work for them. Here at InstanTuition, all students receive customised teaching method and materials which is what makes learning more in-depth, productive and effective, Please check out our google reviews to read our success stories or feel free to reach out to us should you need further clarifications!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q4.

If my child is unable to attend lesson due to school activities eg National school game, does the centre have recorded lesson?

We could only allow make up class for reasons with valid supporting documents such as MC, school notification letter or students infected with covid. We do not record our lessons as we do not teach in a classroom setting like the one in school. 1-1 specialised attention is provided hence there is no one fixed recorded lesson for all students.

Q9.

does my child need E-Math tuition when he/she is already taking A-Math tuition?

We would like to highlight that this is not recommended since the content for each math subject (i.e. E-Math and A-Math) is totally different. A common misconception is that E-Math is the foundation of A-Math. We have many students who follow us up from Sec 2 to Sec 3 and chose to only do A-Math tuition and stop E-Math tuition since they are already strong in Math by the time they take Sec 2 EOY exam. However, most of their Sec 3 end-of-year exam results would show that they are able to do well for A-math (with tuition) but not so well for E-Math (since they have stopped tuition after the end of Sec 2).

In this regard, do consider enrolling your child for both E-Math and A-Math tuition.

Q8.

Does InstanTuition offer a lower rate for students under FAS?

We wish for all students to have the same opportunity to learn and grow with us. In this regard, we do not want to deprive any students who are interested to seek help of any opportunities. Please reach out to us with a copy of the FAS approval letter issued by your child’s school.

Q10.

Is combined science for O level / N level considered as one or two subjects?

Even though combined science is recognised as one subject for O Level / N level but the content is considered to be too heavy to cover 2 sciences (i.e. physics and chemistry) in 1.5h lesson.

Hence combined physics and combined chemistry would be treated as 2 separate subjects for tuition.
